Weapons material is introduced progressively, usually with wooden or padded training tools. The instructor’s study of Japanese sword and staff traditions informs both the regular curriculum and specialized training.

Starting as a beginner

Fundamentals come first

Beginners do not need to purchase equipment before starting. The instructor will explain what can be borrowed and what may become useful as training develops.
